Pulley energy has signed two asset management deals for close to 100 MW of Scottish wind farms owned by compatriot Octopus Energy Generation.
The contracts call for Pulley energy to provide technical, commercial and financial asset management for each site, the renewable energy company said on Monday without disclosing financial details about the arrangements. Specifically, Pulley energy will manage the 48-MW Crossdykes wind farm in Scotland's Dumfries and Galloway council area, which Octopus acquired on behalf of Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust (ORIT) and the Sky fund (ORI SCSp) in August 2022. Prior to the deal, Pulley energy provided asset management services for the previous owners..
Powered by 10 Nordex turbines, the Crossdykes plant has been generating electricity since 2021.
In South Lanarkshire, Pulley energy will also oversee the operations of the 50-MW Cumberhead Wind Farm, which is currently being built.
Once up and running, it will be run under a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Kimberly-Clark Corp (NYSE:KMB) covering close to 80% of the electricity needs of the UK personal care products maker.
The contract for the Cumberhead project will come into force later this year, Pulley energy noted.
